How does Live Karaoke work?

It's simple... The Empty Orchestra Band will get your event started by performing a block of music to loosen you up and get you in the mood to get on stage for your shining moment.

There are 2 ways you can sign up to sing or play the night of your event.

1. You can pre-register on our website.

Step 1:    Browse through the song list is listed on the site.
Step 2:    Choose the song or songs you would like to perform. (Don’t forget the song numbers!)
Step 3:    Open the sign up sheet form on the website.
Step 4:    Fill in all the information on the form.
Step 5:    Hit the Send button. 

2. You can sign up the night of the event.

When you arrive at your event there will be books and sign up sheets on all of the tables.

Step 1: Browse through the books and choose your song and number.
Step 2: Write your selection on the sign up sheet.
Step 3: Either deliver the sign up sheet to the host or wait for him to visit your table to collect it for you.

Once you are signed up the host will let you know when it is time for you to get ready to rock!  He will let you know in small groups who will be performing next, so you will have ample time to prepare yourself for your BIG moment!

Where do I go when my name is called to be on standby?

There will be a holding area on the side of the stage for you to gather in. Once you are there you will...

Confirm your name and where you are from
Confirm song selection
Be given a few basic rules of the stage
Be given your microphone

How Will I know the words?

The lyrics will be provided for you.

What if I get lost in the middle of the song?

No Worries, there is a member of the band that is assigned to know the lyrics and the melody of each of the songs… They will get you back on track.

What if I would like to play an instrument?

You have two choices:

1. You will be allowed to use the band instruments.
2. You will be allowed to bring your own guitar acoustic guitar, or bass with you.  If you are a horn player you will be required to provide your own instrument.  We ask if you do so to please let us know ahead of time in the holding area so we will be prepared for switching instruments.  We would also ask that your instrument be tuned and ready to go once you hit the stage.

How would I use this for my event?

There are so many different uses for The Empty Orchestra Band. Here are a few suggestions.

1. A Karaoke Idol contest.
2. Build a band as part of your team building exercises.
3. Have break out sessions during the day of your event and meet with our pro staff of musicians to learn the song you will be singing/playing with the band.
4. Having a Teen Birthday party?  Let us take care of the kids while you enjoy your adult guests.
5. Nightclubs.
6. Casinos
7. Bars.
8. Fairs
9. Festivals
10. Side stages for concert events.
